Pakistan successfully test fired a short-range missile on Monday, officials said.

The 350-km cruise missile, named Raad, was launched two days after an intermediate-range missile was launched by Pakistan's neighbor and rival, India.

The Raad missile was fired from an unspecified location and "successfully hit the target", said the army's media wing Inter Services Public Relations.

Nuclear rivals India and Pakistan have been locked in an arms race since the early 1990s, with both often testing nuclear-capable warheads within days of each other.
