Roadside bomb kills 5 in Pakistan's north-west

Bomb attack killed five people including a Taliban commander in South Waziristan region of northwest Pakistan on Thursday.

A roadside bomb, targeting a vehicle carrying Taliban commander and militants, was set off with remote control in Wana province of South Waziristan.

Taliban commander Ghulam Jan and four of his bodyguards died in the attack.

Bomb attacks staged in December 2012 in Wana had similarly killed a Taliban commander and two others.
