Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan deal on common patrol
Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan will co-operate on security of their common borders in order to provide free movement of their citizens, Tajik Foreign Ministry announced.

The ministry said, the parties compromised on a common patrol duty during the meeting of Tajik-Kyrgyz border management commission in Dushanbe, chaired by Tajikistan Deputy Prime Minister Murodali Alimardon and his Kyrgyz counterpart Tokon Mamytov.

The upcoming meetings of government representatives and their working groups in 2014 were also specified in the meeting.

Frequent ethnic problems occur around the border between Tajik Sogd province and Kyrgyz Batken province.
