Following the funerals of 409 victims on the 18th year of Srebrenica genocide on July 11, 48 more Bosnian victims of the genocide were buried on Saturday in Prijedor city.
Funeral ceremonies were held for the 48 victims who were identified after being pulled out of a mass grave remaining from the Bosnian war between 1992 and 1995.
The youngest of the buried victims today was a 15-year-old girl named Zlata, while the oldest one was a 68-year-old man Muharem.
Among the victims, there were three brothers as well as a twin brothers who were killed and buried in the same grave.
Near Prijedor, so far, bodies of 2,082 victims have been found and identified, while efforts are still underway to find missing 200 Bosnian and Croatian bodies. The number of civilians who were killed in this region of the country was more than 8,000.
Suada Nasufovic, who attended the funeral of her brother today, said that a total of 37 relatives of her had been killed between 1992 and 1995.
