A cargo ship, whose crew was rescued on Saturday morning by the Bulgarian coast guards, sank in Bulgarian offshores of Black Sea in the afternoon.
In a statement made by the Maritime Agency of Bulgarian Transportation, Information Technologies and Communication Ministry said that the eleven crew of the ship were rescued in the morning but the ship sank in the afternoon around 4.30 p.m.
Maritime Agency authorities said that the investigations into the cause of the sinking continue, but the initial findings showed that the main cause was unbalanced weight.
The ship was carrying timber from Romania to Turkey and was reported to be owned by a Turkish businessman.
