Montenegro's opposition Democratic Front called on the government to bar Albanian politician Koco Danaj from the country.
Danaj is known for his controversial pan-Albanianist views, in which he envisions a Greater Albania state dominating the Balkans.
The opposition party called on the Montenegrin authorities to label him as persona non grata on Monday, as his views threaten the 'sovereignty and territorial integrity of Montenegro.'
“In Danaj's case, it is necessary that the state act preventatively,” the party said in a statement.
According to Balkan Insight, Danaj announced that he would be visiting Montenegro next month to launch his campaign for a Great Albania, which he calls 'Natural Albania'.
His plans for ‘Natural Albania’ include all areas inhabited by Albanian-speaking people such as Kosovo and parts of Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia and Greece.Last Mod: 07 Mart 2014, 15:15
