PACE: Turkish minority faces most discrimination in Bulgaria

The Parliamentary Assembly of Council of Europe (PACE) has Friday criticized Bulgaria for not displaying enough respect to the rights of Turkish minority living in that country.

The general assembly of PACE adopted a report titled "Dialogue following monitoring process in Bulgaria" and a relevant resolution on Friday.

The resolution asks Bulgaria to take solid steps to resolve the problems of the Turkish minority.

According to the report, Turks and Gypsies were the minority groups that faced the most discrimination in Bulgaria.

Haluk Koc of the Republican People's Party (CHP) was the only Turkish deputy that participated in the voting at the PACE. Other Turkish deputies could not vote at the PACE due to talks at the Turkish Parliament on Constitutional amendments.
