The 'open door policy' introduced in Bosnia meeting

Bosnia-Herzegovina's Minister of Defense Muhamed Ibrahimovic on Wednesday said that Bosnia-Herzegovina became a country providing international assistance from being a country receiving international assistance.

Speaking at a press conference following the end of a meeting of South-eastern Europe defense ministers (SEDM) in which Turkey was represented by Ismet Yilmaz in Sarajevo, Ibrahimovic stated that his country was a member of the initiative of South-eastern Europe defense ministers since 2007 and that 14 countries were represented in Wednesday's meeting.

"During today's meeting, the 'open door policy' was introduced. With this policy, we are ready to accept new members to our initiative," Ibrahimovic stressed.

Also speaking at the press conference, the Term Chairman of South-eastern Europe defense ministers, Gianluigi Magri underlined that steps were being taken to establish a military unit at the level of South-eastern Europe.

"This military unit will carry the name 'Sibrig' and participate in peace missions across the globe," Magri also said.
