A gang of Bangladeshi's have been profiteering from an illegal slave trade racket operating out of South Cyprus.

It has been discovered that a gang of Bangladeshis who have forged documents have transferred illegal workers to Greek Cyprus and have been operating a slave trade from there.

According to the Greek Fileleftheros newspaper,  for 7-8 thousand euros fee, they have organised Bangladeshi's with false documents in exchange work in the Greek Cypriot side.

According to reports, the suspicious movements of a Bangladeshi at Larnaca Airport who was arrested with a false passport gave way to the operation.

Two illegal workers from Bangladesh as well as two Greek workers were subjected to mistreatment. The workers were on shift from 7:00am  until 22:30  they were subjected to insults and harrassment and received only 300 Euro for two months work.

According to the report, three members of the gang were arrested and a search is on for the fourth person.
