A plane carrying a group of Turkish people residing in Kyrgyzstan returned to Turkey early on Wednesday after clashes in the south of the Central Asian country.

A Turkish Airlines (THY) plane brought 149 Turkish people, one of whom was injured, to Istanbul.

This was the second plane Turkey sent to the turbulent Central Asian country to evacuate its citizens safely.

Sedat Tokay was stabbed four times during the clashes in the Kyrgyz province of Osh. He was hospitalized in Istanbul.

Another Turkish citizen who was in Kyrgyzstan during clashes, Murat Akinci said Uzbeks were killing the Kyrgyz and the vice-versa when they saw each other in streets.

Riots killed at least 170 people in Kyrgyz provinces of Osh and Jalalabad since violence erupted in this country last Thursday night.

Turkey sent on Monday a passenger plane to Kyrygzstan to evacuate Turkish citizens as the ethnic violence continues in this Central Asian country. The plane, carrying 151 passengers, landed at Istanbul's Sabiha Gokcen Airport on Tuesday.

Also, Turkish Red Crescent sent humanitarian aid to Kyrgyzstan with a cargo plane on Tuesday. The cargo plane was carrying food, kitchen kits, blankets and medical equipment.
