Another Turkish plane to evacuate citizens in Kyrgyzstan

Turkish Airlines (THY) will send another passenger plane to Kyrgyzstan's capital Bishkek on Tuesday for safe evacuation of Turkish citizens as the ethnic violence continues in this country.

THY's Boeing 737-800 plane will take off from Istanbul's Ataturk Airport later in the day to bring back Turkish citizens from Kyrgyz cities of Jalalabad and Osh, where violence erupted over the weekend between Kyrgyz and Uzbek people.

The plane is expected to return to Istanbul on Wednesday morning.

Earlier, 151 Turkish citizens were brought back to Turkey by another THY plane.

At least 170 people lost their lives and more than 1,500 others were injured in the Kyrgyzstan's worst ethnic violence in decades which prompted thousands to flee to Uzbekistan.
