U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has delayed her trip to Turkey, diplomats said on Monday.
A senior diplomat from the U.S. State Department has confirmed thatClinton postponed the visit to Turkey planned for early next week.
Speaking on the condition of anonymity, the U.S. official told the Anadolu Agency Monday that Clinton was set to return to her country after participating in a Munich security conference on February 4 to 6.
The U.S. official said any future visit to Turkey by the state secretary would be announced at an appropriate time.
Clinton was expected to make a visit to Ankara early next week.
Diplomats did not elaborate on the reason of the postponement.
