Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday.
The two leaders discussed the recent developments in the region, especially the current situation in Syria and Egypt over the phone, according to sources from the Prime Ministry.
Erdogan emphasized the importance of the UN security Council taking concrete steps in the Syria issue and re-establishing democracy in Egypt with the participation of all parties.
Turkey-Russia relations were also covered during the call that lasted 50 minutes.
