Turkish State Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Cemil Cicek met with executives of Turkish associations and businesspeople over breakfast in Vienna, Austria on Saturday.
Speaking at the HQ of Austrian-Turkish Islamic Union (ATIB), Cicek said that certain circles made efforts to divide the Turks.
"Regardless of your views and opinions, if you work in solidarity with each other the future would be nicer than today," Cicek stressed.
"In the 1960s, there was a belief that Turkish workers arriving in European countries would return home after a while. In the past, we only had the power of our hands. Today, we also have the brain power. The EU membership will be in favor of Turkey."
If we can utilize the time well as a young and dynamic society, we will reach an extremely positive position. We are making reforms not because certain people want them but to fulfill the needs of our own citizens, Cicek said.
As the Turkish state, we will help our citizens living overseas in every way. However, it is not right to expect everything from the state. You have to learn well the language of the country you are living in. You have to provide the best education possible to your children. Education is crucial. Education determines the future of countries, Cicek said.
