Iran's Ahmadinejad to join CICA summit in Turkey

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said Sunday they would follow-up on last week's Israeli attack on aid ships till the end.

Speaking to the AA in Jeddah where he arrived to attend the Executive Board meeting of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) after Israel's attack of last week, Davutoglu said that he had a meeting with the Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs Manuchehr Motaki in Jeddah.

Motaki and the Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadinejad will be in Turkey on Tuesday to attend the Third Summit of Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA). We are holding crucial meetings nowadays on Iran's nuclear issue, Davutoglu said.

We held comprehensive talks with Motaki on Iran's nuclear program. There is a possibility of sanctions against Iran at the United Nations Security Council. Motaki and I made evaluations on the recent developments, Davutoglu said.

In reference to the OIC meeting in Jeddah, Davutoglu said that all countries extended support to both Palestine and Turkey.

Everyone praised the sensitivity of Turkish non-governmental organizations and the Turkish people vis-a-vis Palestine, Davutoglu said.

We will carry Israel's attack on aid ships to all international platforms. We hope that Israel would accept the proposal for establishment of an international inquiry committee to find out the realities. If Israel does not accept such a proposal, it would show their guiltiness. It is out of question for us to accept any justification for the killing of our citizens, Davutoglu said.

Minister Davutoglu later left Jeddah for Turkey.
