Iraqi police have set up a team to investigate the abduction of three Turks in Kirkuk.
Kirkuk Police Chief Jamal Tahir told A.A on Wednesday that they were not informed about the presence of those Turks in the city.
If we were informed, we would certainly take the measures and protect them, he said.
On Tuesday evening, three Turks, who were working in a company on cooling and elevator systems, were kidnapped from their house by unidentified people.
Tahir said that those Turks did not have any residence application, adding that Kirkuk police did not know about the company and whether the Turks were in the city.
We set up a high-level team to investigate the abduction, he added.
