Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi said Sunday that Turkey and his country were "in complete agreement" over the conflict in Syria.
"On the Syrian question, we agree with Turkey on all issues. And again on the Palestinian problem, we share same thoughts and concerns. We also agree that the Palestinian people should be supported to help them win their independence," Morsi told a joint press conference with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan in the Turkish capital, Ankara.
Morsi said Turkey and Egypt would engage in major cooperation and partnership, adding that Turkey had made great progress.
"We know that reforms the Justice and Development (AK) Party has made are source of inspiration for the will of the peoples who have mobilized," Morsi said.
