Plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) will start on January 24 in Strasbourg.

Turkish President Abdullah Gul will attend and address the plenary session of PACE on Tuesday's session.

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu will give information to the general assembly on January 24 about the activities carried out during Turkey's rotating presidency of the Committee of Ministers.

2011 Winter meetings of PACE, representing 800 million people from 47 countries, will end on January 28.

Gul is scheduled to meet Council of Europe's Secretary General Thorbjorn Jagland and PACE President Mevlut Cavusoglu during his stay in Strasbourg.

Justice and Development (AK) Party Antalya Deputy Cavusoglu was elected the President of PACE on January 2009.

President Gul will inaugurate a photograph exhibition at the PACE headquarters titled "Turkey in the Council of Europe between 1949 and 2010", and meet representatives of Turkish associations.

Gul served as a member of the PACE between 1992 and 2001 and assumed active role.

Gul is expected to depart from Strasbourg on January 26.
