Turkey's permanent representative at United Nations (UN) office in Geneva, Ambassador Mehmet Ferden Carikci talked over UN Council of Human Rights resolution condemning Syria, adding "It is really enough, Syrians' voices should be heard."
The ambassador made a statement about the resolution condemning serious worsening of human rights and targeting civilians without discrimination in Syria.
Basic message of the resolution should warrant activities of Syrian officials, UN and other humanitarian relief foundations which would be carried out in an immediate and secure way, said Carikci.
Pointing out Turkey had been confronting flow of refugees for centuries, Carikci added more than 7 million refugees and displaced people needed humanitarian aid.
Carikci also noted Turkey hosts about 600,000 refugees, adding "The resolution also calls for international community to provide financial assistance to the host countries for compensating such a humanitarian disaster of 21th century."Güncelleme Tarihi: 27 Eylül 2013, 23:10
