Turkey's Ambassador in Moscow Halil Akinci said that twelve agreements would be signed during Russian President Dimitriy Medvedev's scheduled visit to Turkey on May 11 and 12.
In an interview with the A.A., Akinci said that all preparatory works prior to the Russian president's visit next week were evaluated at Turkey-Russia Joint Economic Commission meeting in Ankara co-chaired by Turkey's Energy and Natural Resources Minister Taner Yildiz and Russian Deputy Premier Igor Sechin.
"President Abdullah Gul and President Medvedev will hold two tete-a-tete meetings. Then, President Medvedev and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will announce that a high-level consultative board was established between the two countries. The board will convene once in every year," he said.
Akinci said that 12 agreements including energy, maritime and air traffic deals would be signed during President Medvedev's visit.
He said that Turkey and Russia also agreed in principle to remove visa requirements. An agreement could be signed during the Russian President's visit or later, the ambassador added.
