Iraqi President Jalal Talabani's party PUK's spokesman Azad Jundiyani told that PUK would attend the congress meeting on high-level.

Barham Salih, deputy head of Iraqi Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), will attend Turkey's ruling Justice & Development (AK) Party's Fourth Regular Convention which will take place in capital Ankara on Sunday.

Iraqi President Jalal Talabani's party PUK's spokesman Azad Jundiyani told AA on Friday that PUK would attend the congress meeting on high-level, adding that it showed the importance they attached to bilateral relations.

Jundiyani said that President Talabani had been invited to the congress meeting, however, he would not be able to attend due to political problems in Iraq. He added that Salih was assigned to attend the meeting on behalf of PUK.

Noting that they attached very much importance in good neighborhly relations with Turkey, Jundiyani said that Republic of Turkey was a very important neighbor for Iraq, and the relations between the two countries were rooted in the past.

Massoud Barzani, the leader of the regional administration in north of Iraq, will also attend AK Party's congress meeting.
