The Turkish Foreign Ministry expressed "deep sorrow" over Monday's attacks in the Iraqi cities of Baghdad and Basra which killed more than a hundred people and left hundreds of others injured.
"We offer our condolences to the families of victims and wish quick recovery to the injured ones," the ministry said in a statement.
The statement said Turkey was confident that the Iraqi government and people will not allow the country to be dragged back into sectarian violence.
"We are ready to give any kind of our support to our Iraqi brothers in combating terrorism," the statement said.
