Turkey, Kosovo sign four agreements

Kosovo's Prime Minister Hashim Thaci said on Thursday that Kosovo was a country for new opportunities.

Speaking at a joint news conference with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Thaci said his country prepared a very positive environment for foreign investors.

Thaci also called on Turkish entrepreneurs to step up their investments in Kosovo.

Thaci said Kosovo state established very positive relations with all the countries in the region adding they were endeavoring to build Kosovo on a solid basis.

Kosovo Prime Minister said they signed four agreements with Erdogan, indicating that more comprehensive relations would be established with Turkey in areas of diplomacy, economy, culture and defense.

Thaci said they were working as strategic partners with Turkey, noting the agreements signed between the two countries reaffirmed this.

He said cooperation would be made particularly in education and underlined that a university which will give education both in Albanian and Turkish would be built in Prizren.

Thaci also thanked to Turkey being the first country recognizing Kosovo and welcomed efforts of Turkey to make other countries recognize Kosovo.

Thaci said 69 countries have so far recognized Kosovo Republic and noted they became members of important institutions like the World Bank.
