Nearly a quarter of polled Palestinians consider Turkey as the most non-Arab supportive country politically and financially to their cause, according to a recent survey.
The Ramallah-based Alpha International for Research, Polling and Informatics said it had surveyed 538 Palestinians, all over the age of 18 and living inside Palestinian territories.
Some 23 percent of them described Turkey as the first non-Arab country in terms of financial assistance to Palestinians.
The European Union came a distance second with 12 percent followed by the United States with 6 percent.
Around 13 percent of polled Palestinians said there was no non-Arab country that provides the Palestinians with financial aid.
Turkey, meanwhile, ranked the first non-Arab political supporter for the Palestinians, according to 21 percent of those surveyed.
France and the European Union trailed behind with only 5 percent.
Around 19 percent of the Palestinians said no non-Arab country was giving them political support.Last Mod: 04 Şubat 2014, 11:39
