Turkey, Pakistan to sign deals during Erdogan's visit

Pakistani Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani welcomed Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan with a formal ceremony on Tuesday.

Following the ceremony, the two prime ministers attended High Level Cooperation meeting between the governments of Turkey and Pakistan.

Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdag, Transportation Minister Binali Yildirim, Economy Minister Zafer Caglayan, Energy & Natural Resources Minister Taner Yildiz and Environment & Urbanization Minister Erdogan Bayraktar are accompanying Erdogan during the meeting.

After the High Level Cooperation meeting, Erdogan will join a signature ceremony for various agreements. Erdogan and Gilani will later hold a joint press conference.

Later in the day, Acting President & Chairman of the Pakistani Senate Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari will decorate Erdogan with an honorary doctorate degree at the Quaid-i Azam University in Islamabad.

Erdogan will separately receive the leader of the main opposition Nawaz Sharif and Chairperson of Jamaat-e-Islami Syed Munawar Hassan.

Following the completion of his talks, Erdogan will proceed to Kazakhstan.
