A poster exhibition was held in Istanbul, Turkey on Monday in honour of the 600th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Turkey and Poland.
The two countries, which are both members of NATO, will mark the 600th anniversary of their relations next year and it is also the 90th anniversary of friendship agreement signed between the two countries this year.
Within this framework, the exhibition was organized by Polish Consulate General in Istanbul and opened in Isik University in Istanbul.
"There are positive relations between Turkey and Poland and I hope it will be better in the coming years. This exhibition has given me a chance to introduce Poland," Polish artist Andrzej Pagowski told Anadolu Agency.
There are totally 40 posters designed by Andrzej Pagowski at the exhibition. The posters on different subjects drew visitors on the first day of the display.
Nafiye Gunenc Kiyak, Rector of Isik University said, "This exhibition is a very important step for countries to understand each other. It is very important step for sharing the art. We have deep-rooted relations with Poland. For this reason, we attach importance to Poland and wanted to open this term with Poland."
Poland, which has been a member of the EU since 2004, is one of the countries supporting Turkey on its EU process.
The exhibition will be open till November 30.
