Turkey, Qatar urge Lebanese parties to comply with deals

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Qatari Prime Minister & Foreign Minister Hamad bin Jasim bin Jabir Al Thani reiterated their support to Palestinian people and asked Lebanon to abide by the related agreements for unity and integrity of the country.

Erdogan and Al-Thani made a joint statement following their tete-a-tete meeting in Doha.

Annotation aired on web-page of Turkish Prime Ministry said, "Erdogan and Al-Thani assessed improvement of relations and regional and international matters. Both Turkey and Qatar reaffirmed their support to Palestinian people and their stance supporting the right of Palestinian people to determine their own future and establish their independent state where Jerusalem is the capital city."

The joint statement said, "the prime ministers referred to Lebanon and expressed the uneasiness felt over the statements. The parties in Lebanon were called to take into consideration general interests, adopt a constructive dialogue method, and abide by Doha and Taif agreements which are guarantee of unity, security and stability of Lebanon."
