Turkey's forestry and water works minister has said that Turkey did not think of cutting off water supply to Syrians following the recent escalated tension between Turkey and Syria.
"We have been living together with Syrians for centuries. The problem is with the Bashar al-Assad regime. We are not thinking of cutting off water supply to Syrians," Veysel Eroglu told reporters after attending an inauguration ceremony in the western province of Afyonkarahisar on Friday.
Meanwwhile, Turkey's Energy & Natural Resources Minister Taner Yildiz had said on Thursday that Turkey would continue to supply electricity to Syria despite the raised tension between both countries.
"The matter is not about Syrian people, we are really into the faults of Syrian regime here. We are talking about an environment in which at least 30,000 thousand people have been killed so far, and there is also a human tragedy. There is no point to defend this situation. Therefore we are not talking on any sanctions for Syrian people," Yildiz had said.
