Turkey sending humanitarian aid to Kyrgyzstan

Ambulance, medicine and medical equipment sent by Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA) reached Kyrgyz capital of Bishkek on Monday.

Turkish Ambassador in Bishkek Nejat Akcal and Kyrgyz officials received the humanitarian aid carried by the plane of Turkish General Staff.

Kyrgyz officials thanked Turkish authorities for their assistance.

The Prime Ministry Office of Turkey earlier said, "Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs told Kyrgyz interim government authorities that Turkey was determined to extend a helping hand to Kyrgyz people who were affected from the recent incidents in the country. After Kyrgyz authorities informed us that they needed ambulance, medicine and medical equipment through the Turkish Embassy in Bishkek, we prepared a humanitarian aid package."
