Turkey will open Turkish Iskender kebab restaurant, ice cream and Turkish bagel shops in Greece, a Turkish economic board said on Saturday.
Turkey's Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK) released a statement which said Turkish businessmen, accompanying Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan during his visit to Athens, Greece, made deals with Greek businessmen.
Accordingly, owner of Turkey's oldest doner kebab restaurant chain, Yavuz Iskenderoglu Iskender will open their first restaurant near the parliament building in Athens.
This will be the first time the 150-year brand will open abroad.
Also, Turkey's ice-cream chain "Mado" will open a branch in Athens this year.
Turkey's bagel chain, "Simit Sarayi" will introduce ring-shaped Turkish bread covered with sesame seeds to the Greek people.
The "simit" shop is expected to open within two months.
Erdogan paid a two-day formal visit to Greece, together with 10 ministers and many businessmen.
