Turkey decided to sign a contract of Foreign Military Sales with the U.S. administration, Turkey's national defense minister said.

Turkey to sign foreign military sales deal with US

Turkey decided to sign a contract of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) with the U.S. administration, Turkey's national defense minister said on Tuesday.

After the meeting of the Defense Industry Executive Committee in Ankara, National Defense Minister Vecdi Gonul said that they decided to sign a contract of FMS to meet cargo helicopter needs of Turkish Land Forces Command and Special Forces Command.

Gonul said that they also decided to receive bid from the Turkish Aerospace Industries, Inc. for integration of configuration items.
