Turkey to treat heavily wounded Afghan soldiers

25 amputated and heavily wounded Afghan soldiers will come to Turkey on Tuesday for medical treatment and rehabilitation.

Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement Monday that 25 Afghan troops who were heavily wounded or amputated in operations would arrive in Turkey to undergo medical treatment and rehabilitation in the medical facilities of the Turkish Armed Forces, upon the request of Afghan authorities.

The Foreign Ministry said Turkey's gesture was yet another example of the brotherhood and friendly relations with Afghanistan aiming to help the wounded soldiers get back to their normal lives and social environment with self esteem.
