Turkey welcomes deal between Sudan, South Sudan

Turkey on Friday said it welcomed a series of agreements signed between Sudan and South Sudan to solve a number issues between the two countries.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the agreements constituted "a great progress" in the settlement of problems between Sudan and South Sudan, praising the countries' leaders for their "determination statesmanship."

The statement urged prompt implementation of the nine agreements signed in security, oil, economy, borders and citizenship issues, calling for more dialogue for problems yet to be resolved.
