Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu will go to Iran Saturday night to meet with his Iranian counterpart Manuchehr Motaki.
Foreign Ministry officials, who declined to be identified, said Davutoglu spoke to Motaki on the phone and Motaki invited Davutoglu to Iran to discuss new possibilities in nuclear energy.
The two will meet Sunday morning.
Officials also said a tripartite meeting between Davutoglu, Motaki and Brazilian Foreign Minister Celso Amorim, who is also visiting Iran, was likely.
