Turkey's state minister for the economy will travel to Brussels, Belgium on Monday evening.

State Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan will leave for Brussels to hold talks with some European commissioners.

Babacan is expected to meet European Commissioner Joaquin Almunia for competition on Tuesday.

After participating in a meeting organized by the Confederation of Businessmen and Industrialists of Turkey (TUSKON), Babacan will meet Belgian Finance Minister and Vice Prime Minister Didier Reynders.

Babacan is also expected to meet European Commissioner Antonio Tajani for industry and entrepreneurship.

State Minister Babacan will meet European Commissioner for economic and monetary affairs Olli Rehn over dinner.

Babacan will return to Turkey on Tuesday night.
