Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu will travel to Hungary on Tuesday on a formal trip upon an invitation by his Hungarian counterpart Janos Martonyi.
According to a statement issued by the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) on Monday, the two ministers will hold talks on bilateral relations, Turkey's EU accession
process, the Balkans, energy security and other regional and international issues.
Davutoglu will be received by Hungarian President Pal Schmitt and will hold talks in the Hungarian Parliament.
Davutoglu's visit to Hungary will strengthen Turkish-Hungarian friendship as well as Turkish-EU relations, the MFA said.
Hungary assumed the rotating presidency of the EU on January 1, 2011.
