Turkish relief group said it has sent a disaster relief team to Kyrgyzstan that 189 people were killed and 1,910 others were wounded in ethnical clashes between Uzbek and Kyrgyz people since June 11.

IHH or The Foundation For Human Rights And Freedoms And Humanitarian Relief, said in a statement to World Bulletin, "The team consists of 4 aid workers, including 2 doctors. Surgeons Ali Alemdar and Giray Yavuz will be delivering emergency treatment to the injured."

The UN has revealed that 400,000 people have fled since June 10, some into refugee camps in neighbouring Uzbekistan.

Many are running short of water and food, crammed into clay huts and makeshift camps in the arid plains straddling the Ferghana valley.

"The rest of the relief team will be helping to coordinate the aid activities in Kyrgyzstan together with IHH’s partner organization in the country," IHH said. "Humanitarian aid supplies will be distributed to those families who fled their homes because of the violent conflicts."
