Turkey's prime minister held a telephone conversation with Syria's president on Wednesday.
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who is currently in Qatar's capital Doha to hold a series of talks, spoke with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad on the phone.
The two officials assessed the developments in Lebanon, sources said.
Earlier on Wednesday, Erdogan met with Qatari Amir Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani over breakfast, and later got together with Qatar's Crown Prince Shaikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani.
The premier is also expected to attend the Turkey-Qatar Business Forum before returning to Turkey.
