Turkey's PM visits tomb of Bosnia's Alija

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Tuesday that Turkey believed instability in any country in the Balkans would make whole Balkans instable.

Premier Erdogan, who is currently visiting Bosnia-Herzegovina, delivered a speech in the Sarajevo Business Forum.

"We attach a great importance to sovereignty and territorial integrity of Bosnia-Herzegovina," Erdogan said.

Erdogan said, "we have to preserve peace, tranquility and stability in Bosnia-Herzegovina."

Turkey has taken important steps in regard to its EU accession process, democratization and economy policies, he said.

Turkish economy has become the 17th largest economy in the world and Bosnia-Herzegovina could be inspired by improvement of Turkish economy, he said.

Erdogan said the business forum would contribute to Bosnia-Herzegovina's efforts for development and the country had a great potential in the sectors of energy, tourism, livestock and mining.

After attending the business forum, Premier Erdogan visited the tomb of Bosnia-Herzegovina's first president Alija Izetbegovic who died in 2003.
