Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Turkey wanted to open a new page with Greece, and carry the relations to partnership level.

Turkey was pleased to see that Greek government had the same desire too, added Erdogan who spoke to Greek Ta Nea newspaper.

Erdogan said that steps taken for the future would certainly serve the mutual interests of both countries, while contributing to peace and stability in the region.

Regarding Cyprus issue, Erdogan said that restoring permanent and fair solution in Cyprus would be an important step for stability and cooperation in the Eastern Mediterranean region.

Replying to a question on where Turkey would be after 10-15 years, Erdogan said that Turkey's target was to take place among top ten biggest economies of the world on the 100th anniversary of Republic with its universal values such as democracy, supremacy of law, pluralism, market economy, good management, transparency and respect to human rights and basic freedoms. He added that Turkey also targeted to be one of the basis of regional and global peace.
