Turkey's President Abdullah Gul will pay a working trip to Strasbourg on January 24-26, his office said on Saturday.
Gul will attend and address the plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) in Strasbourg.
President Gul is expected to respond to questions of parliamentarians after addressing the plenary session on January 25.
Gul is scheduled to meet Council of Europe's Secretary General Thorbjorn Jagland and PACE President Mevlut Cavusoglu during his stay in Strasbourg.
President Gul will inaugurate a photograph exhibition at the PACE headquarters titled "Turkey in the Council of Europe between 1949 and 2010", and meet representatives of Turkish associations.
The Turkish president's visit to Strasbourg comes at a time when Turkey assumes the rotating helm of the Council of Europe (COE) Committee of Ministers.
Gul served as a member of the PACE between 1992 and 2001 and assumed active role.
Gul is expected to depart from Strasbourg on January 26.
