Turkey's TIKA has 15 ongoing projects in Serbia

Serbian State Minister Suleyman Uglyanin on Thursday paid a visit to Turkish Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA), meeting with agency's chief, Musa Kulaklikaya.

Speaking to reporters during the meeting, Kulaklikaya said developing relations between Turkey and Serbia made important contributions to maintaining political and economic stability in the Balkans, adding that TIKA has engaged in several projects in Serbia since 2005.

Uglyanin, on his part, said he considered TIKA as "a chance" both for his country and other countries of the region, recalling that TIKA extended 1 million U.S. dollars in aid to a school.

"And this is only one of the projects that TIKA carries out in Serbia. There are 15 other ongoing projects, eight of them are in Serbia and seven in Sanjak," Uglyanin said.
