Turkey's deputy prime minister Besir Atalay has departed from the Philippines after delivering aid to the disaster hit region.

The Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Besir Atalay departed from the capital Manila of the Philippines after completing his visit on Wednesday.

Atalay had arrived in the Philippines on Monday to see the humanitarian crisis caused by the Typhoon Haiyan and deliver the Turkey's aid to the Philippine Red Cross.

Turkey sent 65 tons of aid-- including food, kitchen equipments, blankets and tents-- to the disaster-hit Philippines on Monday.

The minister visited the center of the Red Cross and was informed by the President of Philippine Red Cross Richard J. Gordon about the calamity and relief works.

He also visited the Vice President of the Philippines Jejomar Binay and conveyed Turkey's condolence and get-well message and attended the Philippines Typhoon Haiyan Action Plan of United Nations (UN).
