The economic potential, population potential and the regional roles of Turkey and Thailand resemble each other. The relations to be developed between the two countries will contribute to the international community and global peace, Davutoglu said.
Our two countries celebrated the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2008 and we intend to increase mutual high level visits in the near future, Davutoglu said.
We want to finalize the Turkey-Thailand joint action plan soon and attach strategic character to our bilateral relations, Davutoglu also said.
Kasit Phirom, in his part, said that Turkey and Thailand resembled each other both from an economic and political perspective.
Each of us can play a strategic role in our regions. We can become strategic partners naturally, Phirom said.
Phirom stressed that they wished to finalize various agreements in different fields with Turkey next year.
There is political will and determination to finalize the agreements. All we need to do is to convert these agreements into action, Phirom said.
