Turkish FM leaves for US to join UNSC meeting on Iraq

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu departed on Tuesday for the United States on an invitation by U.S. Vice President Joe Biden.

Davutoglu is set to participate in a high-level UN Security Council meeting on Iraq.

The Turkish foreign minister is also expected to meet with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon to discuss the Cyprus problem as well as other issues, and hold bilateral talks with his counterparts participating in the Security Council meeting.
