Turkish, Malaysian foreign ministers discuss Egypt

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu on Friday, during his tour in Europe, continued his phone diplomacy on Egypt with his Malaysian counterpart Anifah  Aman who called on the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) for an urgent meeting on Egypt.

Within this framework, Davutoglu met with his British counterpart William Hague in London and held a telephone conversation with Malaysian FM Aman.

According to diplomatic sources, latest developments in Syria and Egypt were discussed between the two ministers.

The ministers also discussed the chemical weapon attack which was staged in Syria on Wednesday.

On the other hand, Davutoglu and Aman held consultations about OIC's role on Egypt.  

Malaysia had lately called on OIC to hold conference on Egypt crisis urgently.
