Bagis arrived in Poland's capital, Warsaw, on Tuesday to hold a series of meetings.

Turkish State Minister & Chief Negotiator for EU talks Egemen Bagis met leading journalists of Poland over breakfast in Warsaw on Wednesday.

Bagis briefed representatives of newspapers, magazines and tv channels including Gazeta Wyborcza, Newsweek Polska, Polsat News, TVN24 and Fundocja Unia&Polska on Turkey's EU negotiation process and asked them to continue to support Turkey's EU bid.

Bagis also underscored strong friendly relations between Turkey and Poland rooted in history.

Bagis is scheduled to separately meet with Polish Foreign Minister Radolaw Sikorski and Ministry of Foreign Affairs Secretary of State for European Affairs Mikolaj Dowgielewicz.

Bagis will also give conference in European College Natolin campus, Warsaw Economy and Computer Sciences Academy on Turkey's EU negotiation process.

Within the scope of his talks, Bagis will meet members of Turkey-Poland Businessmen's Association and attend banquet to be hosted in honor of him by Turkey's Ambassador in Warsaw.

Bagis will proceed to Gdansk city on Thursday and meet Lech Walesa, former Polish President.
