Turkish minister to visit Iran for business talks

 

Turkish Minister of Housing & Public Works Mustafa Demir will travel to Iran on Friday to have talks on contracting sector.

Demir told A.A. correspondent that there was an important potential in Iran in construction sector, mainly housing.

"We will be seeking opportunities to facilitate business of Turkish contractors and investors there," Demir said, and noted that, "we are willing to examine the potential there and prepare a basis for future steps."

Demir said there was not much Turkish contractors making business in Iran, noting "some individual works" were in question.

Demir said he would be visiting Tehran and Esfehan and meet Ali Agha Mohammadi, Iranian assistant first vice-president, and Iran's ministers for housing and industry.
Demir is expected to return to Turkey on July 20.
