Police officers protecting Turkish Prime Ministry Office are training Pakistani police who serve as guards of their Prime Ministry.

The training is taking place in Lahore, the capital of the Pakistani province of Punjap, within the framework of a training and cooperation agreement signed by Turkish police organization and Punjap state police organization.

Seven Turkish police officers are training 33 members of the Punjap police organization for providing close protection.

After the training program, 33 Pakistani police officers will protect the head of state, prime minister, and foreign leaders and high-level executives who will visit Pakistan.

Turkish police officers, who were received twice by Punjap state's Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, are pleased with the interest they have seen in the Pakistani state.

Under the agreement, Turkish police will also train Pakistani police officers on fight against illicit smuggling, organized crime, and illicit drug trafficking.

Pakistani will pay eight visits to Turkey to complete their training program.
