Turkish aid organizations have drilled 1,500 water wells in Somali capital of Mogadishu so far.
Water wells were drilled near tent camps in Mogadishu with joint works by the Turkish International Development and Cooperation Agency (TIKA), Turkey's State Waterworks Authority (DSI) and nongovernmental organizations.
Officials said that around 1 million people have reached clean water thanks to these water wells.
Muhammed Ebubekir Kutup, who is staying in a tent city in the capital, said that Turkey extended great support to Somali people and they appreciated Turkey's efforts.
